My praxis is centred around an interconnection between dystopian sci-fi, future archeology and architecture, which is merged in explorations of crisis, collapsing temporalities, haunted perception and ruinous imaginaries. Through images, installation, interventions, text and performance I attempt to search out blindspots within the connections between the societal and human perception, between inner and outer worlds. I focus on spaces where fiction and reality conjoins and the relationship between the space of ideas and manmade surroundings are uncovered. I am concerned with questions of how the production of meanings and power are connected and facilitated through architectural spaces and objects, and I strive to investigate how this production can be uncovered and decoded, or encrypted and altered. I perceive my production of works as and ongoing process of psychogeographic studies of recognisable and common phenomena and structures, which I attempt to re-contextualise on a allegorical level, through estrangement and science-fictionalisation. This often happens through a process of construction, negotiation and dissolution of identity of a certain place or context - through which I attempt to articulate the way the understanding of community, cohesion and alienation is bound to place experience and conditions of projection and introjection. I am interested in vague areas and liminal spaces; Objects and places that can act as focal point between the material and the immaterial, in the borderland of the usable and conscious. I search for sites of collapse and porosity, where new perspectives, imaginaries and narratives about society may become possible.
